YASH × 3 — THREE DIFFERENT SHADES, ONE TOXIC WORLD. ☠️🔥
The Toxic trailer has finally dropped, and one of the biggest talking points is Yash appearing in multiple shades — YOUNG RAYA, OLD RAYA and TICKET, Raya’s son.
The trailer gives us a much clearer look at the father-son conflict that appears to sit at the heart of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. What initially looked like a stylish gangster action film now seems to be building a much deeper story around Raya, his past, his family and the next generation represented by Ticket.
Yash playing these different phases and characters is easily one of the most interesting aspects of the film. Young Raya represents an earlier chapter of his journey, while the older Raya is the ruthless, powerful gangster we have been introduced to through the film’s earlier promotional material.
And then there is TICKET.
The introduction of Ticket completely changes the equation. Seeing Yash as both Raya and his son creates a fascinating father-versus-son dynamic, raising questions about how Raya’s choices, violence and legacy eventually affect Ticket.
The trailer has also been praised for its dark visual style, high-octane action, elaborate production design and the unconventional world created by director Geetu Mohandas.
Toxic stars Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. The film is produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on AUGUST 26, 2026.
