Amrutaz Photography This is a page developed by WIM elect Amruta Mokal who is a passionate chess photographer. If you fin My name is Amruta Mokal and I am a chess player from India.

A WIM elect with an Elo of 2054. I have played a lot of chess tournaments in my life but hardly do I have pictures of myself playing on the chess board. It is at that point I decided to take keen interest in chess photography. This interest has slowly developed into a passion. Here you will find your pictures if you have been clicked by me and descriptions by Sagar Shah who happens to be an IM+my

husband! I want to share the photos with you. If you find your picture to download, do like my page! Giving me credit when you share your pictures would be highly appreciated. Believe me when I say it's not easy to take good pictures. It needs tremendous efforts and patience. By capturing different expressions of chess players I intend to make people realize the importance of creative chess photography. My aim is to make everyone look good! :)
My aim is that the photos should reach you! My aim is that every chess player should have a picture of himself/herself playing this royal game in the tournament where I am present. Come...see for yourself..."yourself!"

As the World Team Championship begins today, a lot rests on the shoulders of this young lady.
She knows her responsibility, and her focused look says it all. All the best Harika Dronavalli and all the best Team India. Bring back the gold!

These are some of the pictures that I have taken of Mark Dvoretsky. I really like them and are very close to my heart.
His books have helped me immensely to improve as a chess player and I was honoured and lucky to have met him and visited his place in Moscow.
Check out the interview on the ChessBase website conducted by my husband Sagar Shah:
