Ohol (ओहोळ) - Marathi, “rivulet / small stream.”
She did not enter the water to be swept away.
She entered to remember which way she flows.
There is a quiet that only arrives after surrender; the ache loosening, arms opening to an open sky, the current taking only what she no longer needed to carry. Not loss. Just less weight.
A stream does not fight the land it moves through. It simply keeps finding its way home.
She rose unhurried, quieter than before.
And when she looked back, it wasn’t to see if she’d been watched; it was because, for once, she wanted to see herself too.
