1976 മെയ് 11ന് കോട്ടയം ഏറ്റുമാനൂരിൽ ജനിച്ചു. അച്ഛൻ എൻ കെ നാരായണപിള്ള, വിക്രം സാരാഭായ് സ്പേസ് സെന്ററിൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറായിരുന്നു,അമ്മ ശോഭന.കുട്ടിക്കാലത്ത് തന്നെ ഏറ്റുമാനൂരിൽ നിന്ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തേക്ക് താമസം മാറി.സെന്റ് ഗൊരേറ്റി കോൺവന്റ് സ്കൂൾ നാലാഞ്ചിറയിലാണ് സ്കൂൾ പഠനം. തിരുവനന്തപുരം മാർ ഇവാനിയോസ് കോളേജിലാണ് എക്കണോമിക്സ് ബിരുദപഠനം നടത്തിയത്. പത്താം ക്ലാസിൽ പഠിക്കുമ്പോൾ സൂര്യകൃഷ്ണമൂർത്തിയുടെ ലൈറ്റ് & സൗണ്ട് സ്റ്റേജ് ഷോയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത് കൊണ്ടാണ് മഞ്ജു പ്രൊഫഷണൽ വേദികളിൽ തുടക്കമിടുന്നത്. .
1991-ൽ തത്തമ്മേ പൂച്ച പൂച്ച എന്ന ടെലിഫിലിമിലാണ് മഞ്ജു പിള്ള ആദ്യമായി അഭിനയിക്കുന്നത്. സത്യവും മിഥ്യയും ആയിരുന്നു മഞ്ജുവിന്റെ ആദ്യത്തെ സീരിയൽ. ദൂരദർശനിലൂടെ ഏറെ പ്രോഗ്രാമുകളിലൂടെ മലയാളി ടിവി പ്രേക്ഷകർക്ക് സുപരിചിതയായി. തുടർന്ന് വിവിധ ചാനലുകളിലായി നിരവധി സീരിയലുകളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചു. 2000-2001 കാലത്ത് ദേവരഞ്ജിനി, സേതുവിന്റെ കഥകൾ എന്നീ സീരിയലുകളുടെ അഭിനയത്തിന് മികച്ച സഹനടിക്കുള്ള സംസ്ഥാന ടെലിവിഷൻ അവാർഡ് ലഭിച്ചു. 2002- ൽ സുന്ദരന്മാരും സുന്ദരികളും എന്ന സീരിയലിലെ അഭിനയത്തിന് വീണ്ടും അതേ പുരസ്കാരം തന്നെ ലഭ്യമായി. 2002-2003ൽ അലി അക്ബറിന്റെ സുന്ദരികളും സുന്ദരിമാരുമെന്ന ടിവി പരമ്പരയിലൂടെ മികച്ച അഭിനേത്രിക്കുള്ള ടെലിവിഷൻ അവാർഡും ലഭ്യമായി.
നിരവധി ടിവി ചാനലുകളിലെ ജനപ്രിയ പരിപാടികളിലും പരസ്യങ്ങളിലുമൊക്കെ അഭിനയിച്ച മഞ്ജു ഹാസ്യരംഗങ്ങൾ തന്മയത്വമായി അഭിനയിച്ച് ശ്രദ്ധ നേടി.1992-ലാണ് സിനിമയിൽ അഭിനയിയ്ക്കുന്നത്. ശബരിമലയിൽ തങ്ക സൂര്യോദയം ആയിരുന്നു മഞ്ജുവിന്റെ ആദ്യ ചിത്രം. തുടർന്ന് അൻപതോളം സിനിമകളീൽ വിവിധ വേഷങ്ങളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചു.കമലഹസനോടൊപ്പം മന്മഥൻ അമ്പ് എന്ന തമിഴ് ചിത്രത്തിലും മഞ്ജു പിള്ള അഭിനയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ടിവി റിയാലിറ്റി ഷോകളിൽ ജഡ്ജായും അവതാരകയായുമൊക്കെ സജീവമായ മഞ്ജു ടെലിവിഷൻ രംഗത്തും സിനിമാ രംഗത്തും സജീവ സാന്നിധ്യമാണ്. അടൂർ ഗോപാലകൃഷ്ണന്റെ നാലുപെണ്ണുങ്ങളിലും എം പി സുകുമാരൻ നായരുടെ രാമാനം, ജലാംശം എന്നീ സിനിമകളിലും വ്യത്യസ്തമായ വേഷങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. 2021ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഹോം എന്ന സിനിമയിലെ കുട്ടിയമ്മയെന്ന അമ്മവേഷം നവമാധ്യമങ്ങളിൽ ഏറെ ചർച്ചയായി

Born on 11th May 1976 in Etumanoor, Kottayam. Father NK Narayanapilla was an engineer at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, mother Shobhana. She moved from Etumanur to Thiruvananthapuram in her childhood. She studied at St. Goretti Convent School, Nalanchira. Graduated in Economics from Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram. Manju made her professional debut by participating in Surya Krishnamurthy's light & sound stage show while studying in class 10th. .
Manju Pillai made his acting debut in 1991 in the telefilm Tathamme Pooch Pooch. Manju's first serial was Satya and Mithya. Through many programs through Doordarshan, Malayalee became known to the TV audience. Then acted in many serials in various channels. In 2000–2001, she won the State Television Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the serials Devaranjini and Sethu's Tales.
