ছোটবেলায় আনন্দ যতটা যা ছিল তার অনেক বেশি আনন্দমেলা ছিল। ভোরবেলা স্কুলে বেরোনোর সময় কালিকাদাদু দিয়ে যেতেন আনন্দমেলা, অপেক্ষার প্রহর গোনা ওখান থেকেই। এক ট্রাঙ্ক ভর্তি বাবার আনন্দমেলা ছিল–ওটাতে হাত দেবে না, দিশা! পূজাবার্ষিকীর বিশাল শব্দজব্দ মেলাতে মেলাতে আড়চোখে দেখে নেওয়া উত্তরটা কোন পাতায়। তারপর 'হঠাৎ করেই' গল্প খুঁজতে খুঁজতে ওই পাতায় গিয়ে দু-চারটে শব্দ দেখার পাপ তো আমিও করেছি। একটা পূজাবার্ষিকীতে তিলোত্তমা মজুমদারের একটা গল্পের পালে কুকমি-র চাউমিন আর চিলি চিকেন মশলার রেসিপিসহ বিজ্ঞাপন। প্রাক-সুইগি-জোম্যাটো যুগে সেই রেসিপি পড়ার টানেই বারবার পুরোনো বইটা খুলে বসতাম। রবার্ট ফ্রস্টের 'দ্য রোড নট টেকেন' নিয়ে একটা গল্প ছিল এক সংখ্যায়, জেঠুর বাড়ি ফেলে এসেছিলাম–আঠারো বছরেও সেটা ফেরত আনতে যাওয়া হয়নি। একবার পরীক্ষার আগে লুকিয়ে পড়তে দেখে অসম্ভব রাগে মা ছিঁড়ে ফেলেছিলেন সেই সংখ্যাটা। পরীক্ষা শেষে আমায় সেটা সেলোটেপ দিয়ে জুড়তে দেখে কেঁদে ফেলেছিলেন–সেবার ক্লাসে অঙ্কে সেরা!

আমাদের বড় করে দিয়ে আমাদের ছোটবেলা প্রৌঢ় হলেন। তবু সে চিরনবীন, এ শুধু এক লম্বা যাত্রাপথ মাত্র। দূর্ভাগ্যবশত, ২০০৯ সাল থেকে রাখা সংখ্যার অধিকাংশ এবং আমার বাবার পুরোনো আনন্দমেলাগুলো বন্যার জলে নষ্ট হয়ে গেছে, বর্তমানে সংগ্রহে খুব বেশি সংখ্যা নেই। যা আছে সবই সাজানো প্রথম ছবিতে, মাঝখানে সেই সোনার মাইলফলক। আমার ছোটবেলার সঙ্গী আনন্দমেলার এই নতুন মাইলফলকের জন্য আনন্দ, উচ্ছাস, নস্টালজিয়া কোনো অনুভূতিই যথেষ্ট নয়। এবং এত আনন্দের মাঝেও সবচেয়ে বড় প্রাপ্তি এই বিশেষ সংখ্যায় সম্পর্ক-র হয়ে একটা বিজ্ঞাপন বানাতে পেরে। সত্যি বলতে আনন্দমেলার বিশেষ সুবর্ণজয়ন্তী সংখ্যায় আমার করা বিজ্ঞাপন ছাপা হয়েছে, বিষয়টি এখনও ঠিক বিশ্বাস হয়নি। আপনারা কাইন্ডলি জানাবেন, আপনাদের হাতের সংখ্যাগুলোতেও সূচিপত্রের পাতায় শেষ ছবির বিজ্ঞাপনটা আছে তো?
