Currently this train runs with LHB coaches, originates from/terminates at SMVT Bengaluru (SMVB), and hauled by an electric loco end to end

Tejas WAP-5🧡✨ the forgotten warrior!

Once a symbol of speed and prestige, the Tejas WAP-5, specially modified to haul the premium Tejas Express, now finds itself assigned to ordinary Superfast and Express duties.

The once-gleaming machine now looks weathered and worn. The shine has faded, the exclusivity has long gone. A fallen warrior of the Railways.

Hoping the Amrit Bharat WAP-5s don't end up the same way.

Electric (E) Freight (F) 12000HP (12K), the 12000HP WAG-9 Bo'-Bo' + Bo'-Bo' variant, developed by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) for the heavy load and high speed freight operations at the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC), is waiting for clearance at SURI freight yard on a wintry afternoon.

Alongside the modern WAG-12 variants by Alstom, EF12K is one of the most powerful electric locomotives in India and in the world.

In frames: Bhilai EF12K 65026B (lead) + 65026A, standing at SURI yard with coal loaded BOBRN freight. On the Andal bound fast track, it's the WDG-4G with 4500HP power output, another revolutionary Diesel freight locomotive can be seen rolling out of SURI towards UDL with a loaded BCNA rake.
