CFL: With Mission from Financial Literacy to Financial Inclusion to Empowerment

On the occasion of Independence Day, the District Administration Bandipora honoured Shabir Ahmad, Area Manager, CFL Bandipora (RDS), in recognition of his dedicated contribution towards financial literacy, financial inclusion, and community outreach across the district.
The honour is a proud moment not only for Shabir Ahmad personally, but also for the entire CFL Bandipora (RDS) team, whose consistent efforts have helped take financial awareness and banking services to the grassroots level. Heavy Rain Triggers Flash Floods in Thathri Doda; Dozens of Properties, Vehicles Damaged, NH-244 Closed

Heavy rainfall has triggered flash floods and mudslides in Thathri town of Doda district, causing extensive damage to dozens of houses, shops, vehicles and other public infrastructure.

Floodwaters carrying mud and debris swept through several localities, damaging dozens of properties and vehicles, with some vehicles reportedly washed away. Landslides and mudslides also blocked the Doda-Kishtwar National Highway (NH-244) at several locations, disrupting traffic. Restoration work is in progress.
