Every monsoon,
I find myself chasing the same roads again.
Not because I’m going somewhere, but because Jharkhand feels different after it rains.
The paddy fields turn into mirrors, the air smells of wet soil, and every few kilometres I end up stopping for no reason at all.

Maybe that’s what these rides are really about.
They slow me down. They remind me that the best parts of a journey aren’t always planned.

Sometimes it’s just you, a motorcycle, dark clouds rolling in, and the feeling that home has been beautiful all along.

The train never slowed down, the tracks kept rushing beneath me.
People around me were busy with their own destinations.
But outside that window, the day was quietly saying goodbye.

Somewhere between where I was and where I was going, the sky decided to put on a show.
And for a few fleeting minutes, nothing else mattered.

No plans.
No deadlines.
No conversations.

Just a fading sun, a moving train, and the strange comfort of realizing that some of life’s most beautiful moments are the ones we never planned for.
