CRUELTY AND BRANDING

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/18YEc5xGkH/
Its ppalling to see how a carefully manufactured “brand” can collapse on its own face. Shame. Absolute shame.

The ex judge was so over confident that she managed to get her son disappear, while the body of her daughter in law was still lying in the morgue, she herself invited the press to share her narratives believing the people with trust because of her ex - judge branding. That is the arrogance of power, believing reputation can silence truth. But truth eventually tears every false image apart.

Do you know why? Because...

People with criminal tendencies and polluted minds, despite having high educational degrees and professional qualifications, often believe that the social stature or institutional “brand” they carry makes them invincible.

Especially in marital disputes, they take the liberty to speak shamelessly, brazenly, and falsely, without any evidence or iota of truth, believing that people will automatically trust them because of their academic and professional positions.

Yes, such behaviour may cause emotional damage initially, but not forever. Truth always surfaces in the end. Once a person manages to rise from that emotional crack, there is no looking back. Its only a matter of time strength.

Therefore, I urge every woman trapped in a painful marriage to preserve evidence, recordings, messages, and videos safely. You may need them someday. AND, PLEASE NEVER EVER TAKE THAT EXTREEM STEP.. Leave that environment as soon as possible and move to a safer space. There are enough legal remedies and support systems available to help you.

At its core, Indian society has not changed much education or no education. In some families, such forbidden and degrading words are spoken with such disturbing normalcy that eventually relationships collapse, divorces happen, and lives are destroyed.

This over confidece on the basis of your educational and professional branding may backfire big time...

So just stay alive, keep moving with strength and dignity...Life is more important than anything else in this world, because you are PRECIOUS.

The Legacy Of Light
The Morning feels heavy today...
The gaze has stilled, yet what it taught us to see will remain forever alive. Through his lens, he shaped vision, conscience, and courage.

Raghu Rai was more than a photographer, he was a mentor, a quiet teacher, a guiding light who showed generations how to look deeper, feel sharper, and stand truthful in the face of reality.

Though he has stepped beyond our sight, his legacy will continue to illuminate paths, instilling courage, awakening sensitivity, and inspiring countless seekers to see the world not just as it is, but as it must be remembered.

Petals, Gulal, and a Return to Color: Holi Among the Widows of Vrindavan

Holi, the festival of colors, is celebrated across India as a time of joy, renewal, and collective abandon. Yet for generations of widows living in Vrindavan, the festival once carried a very different meaning. It was a day that passed quietly on the margins of society, where tradition dictated restraint rather than celebration.

I have been documenting the lives of the widows of Vrindavan for more than a decade, since around 2012 or 2013. What began as a photographic engagement gradually evolved into a deeply personal association. Over the years, my camera has not merely recorded events; it has witnessed lives unfolding with quiet courage, resilience, and dignity.

Vrindavan, the sacred city of Lord Krishna, has long been home to thousands of widows who arrived here after being abandoned, displaced, or left with few choices by the rigid social norms surrounding widowhood. Within orthodox traditions, a widow was expected to renounce worldly pleasures. Colorful clothing, adornment, and participation in festivals were often denied to her. The white sari became both a symbol of renunciation and a reminder of social exclusion.

Over the past decade, however, a quiet transformation has been unfolding. Several organizations, including Sulabh International and other non-profit initiatives, have worked to restore dignity and opportunity to these women. Beyond providing shelter, these efforts have focused on rehabilitation through vocational training, education, and skill development, enabling many widows to move toward self-reliance.

Today, Holi carries a deeper meaning for these women. In the courtyards of the ashrams, clouds of gulal rise alongside showers of marigold, rose, and jasmine petals. Through my lens, I often see a moment when a white sari briefly disappears beneath drifting color and falling petals—a quiet image of transformation. As the colors settle, the scene speaks of something profound: dignity slowly reclaimed, belonging gently restored, and life returning, quietly and beautifully, in color.

Holi- A meditation in color
I have never been very comfortable with the idea of group photography. Perhaps it is simply my temperament. In the middle of a crowd of photographers, I somehow lose my rhythm. There are too many conversations, too much information being exchanged, too many movements and distractions around me. Slowly, the mind that should be quietly observing begins to scatter. Time schedules, travel constraints, and constant coordination start taking away the stillness that photography truly asks for.
Group tours are wonderful for travel experiences. They offer safety and ease, and the organisers carry the burden of every logistical detail. One can simply move along and enjoy the journey. But when it comes to photography, at least for me, solitude becomes a companion I deeply value.
Holi in Vrindavan and Mathura is perhaps one of the most difficult spaces to photograph. The colours, the crowds, the frenzy, the unpredictability of it all can overwhelm the senses. When I first decided to go alone, many friends and family members urged me not to take that step. They were worried, and perhaps rightly so.
But something within me quietly insisted.
So I went.
Three Holi seasons.
All by myself.
And each time I returned, carrying far more than I had imagined. Not just photographs, but moments, colours, stories, and a strange inner satisfaction that only those chaotic lanes can offer.
Sharing a few frames with you. I hope you will feel a little of that journey through them.
Happy Holi, Everyone. May you have a fantastic, fun day with your family and friends

The Balancing Act
When one attempts to seize what rightfully belongs to another through coercion, manipulation, or deceit, one inevitably forges a karmic chain of cause and consequence.

Such an imbalance cannot be neutralized by time or denial. It is resolved only when something once destined to be yours, or someone you loved beyond measure, is taken away.

Karma never misplaces an address.
