A Dream Encounter in the Eastern Himalayas | In2thewild 🏔️📸

While leading a wildlife photography group expedition in Arunachal Pradesh, I was incredibly fortunate to encounter one of the most coveted Himalayan birds — the Temminck’s Tragopan — at remarkably close range. For wildlife photographers, this is a true dream species. Shy, elusive and beautifully adapted to the dense mountain forests, the Temminck’s Tragopan is one of the spectacular pheasants of the Eastern Himalayas.

Lucky Red Panda Encounter

Got incredibly lucky with this Red Panda in Neora Valley while leading a Taiwan group. We had an unforgettable encounter as the Red Panda suddenly came running straight towards us and passed incredibly close. Moments like this are what make wildlife guiding so special—an absolutely magical and unforgettable sighting! 🐾❤️

A special encounter with the magnificent Rufous-billed Eagle while leading a group in Latpanchar. It was a real privilege to spend some time with this beautiful and powerful raptor and capture a few memorable moments in the wild. Eastern Himalayas are so rewarding for wildlife and bird photographers. Always a pleasure to share these incredible moments with guests in the field. 🌿🦅📸

Satyr Tragopan is one of the most spectacular pheasants in the Himalayas and is often called the “Crimson Horned Pheasant” because of the male’s brilliant red-orange plumage and inflatable blue facial horns used during courtship displays.

One of the best places to search for them is Tawang Arunachal and high-altitude forests in Sikkim i was like to get this tragopan on snow leading a birdwatching group in arunachal pradesh

Looking back at this moment from 2018 when my work was recognized in the Animal Portraits & Behaviour category.

Wildlife and conservation have always needed more voices, more eyes, and more stories, and being part of the Nature inFocus community that uses photography to spark awareness for the natural world has been deeply meaningful.

To have had my perspective shared alongside so many talented photographers was truly humbling.
