Ruwanwali Maha Seya is a stupa from 140 BC in the city of Anuradhapura Sri Lanka. It is one of the largest stupas in existence. It was built by Sinhalese King Dutugemunu who became king of Sri Lanka after a war in which the Chola King Elara (Ellalan) was defeated.

Anuradhapura is one of the oldest living cities in existence for atleast 3000 years. It's a UNESCO listed world heritage site.
