A recent visit to Greyabbey Village and to the abbey from which it gets its name. Very interesting place with good information in the available leaflet ,the signage and from the volunteers that keep the grounds and gardens in immaculate condition. Admission is free but donations can be made.

A visit to The Waterfowl Pond, Broughshane and surrounding area. Had hoped to see and photograph Slemish ( where St Patrick is said to have tended sheep during 6 years of captivity) Low visibility prevented this. Another reason was to visit Broughshane wild life pond in the village. This is a very interesting place to visit- It is run as a wildlife Charity funded by donations and managed by volunteers. Wide range of wildlife Black Swans , whooper swans ,pheasants of all types , Geese ,Red Crested Potchard, and much more. Well worth a visit-admission is free with donation boxes around the site.

I recently visited Glenoe Village and waterfall . Well worth a visit . The village itself has a row of period properties that have been kept in original appearance. The falls can be accessed from a car park that is sign posted on the roadside on waterfall road.
