What an wonderful day we had at the WIB+T Network Summer Social at Navan Racecourse .
It was lovely to hear from Fiona Hanily Belle Mariee Bridal, Fiona Colwell, Simplystylebyfi , Fiona Rafter, Fiona Rafter millinery who were interviewed by our own Elaine Keogh.
After the speakers, we enjoyed a delicious lunch, followed by horse racing.

We are already looking forward to seeing everyone in December!

We are having a busy summer in the Boyne Valley and a number of projects are coming to fruition. One that has particularly excited us is a new podcast that we have been involved with from the time it was just a notion.

Anyone who knows Maria Flynn Ballymakenny Farm Spudshack will know her passion for the heritage and speciality potatoes grown by herself and her husband David. Maria is genuine, honest and has, as she readily admits, a love of chatting so it isn’t surprising that she was totally on board to host her own podcast: SpudChats with Maria.

The names came from her weekly SpudShack. The chats she has with her customers and friends who call there to get their fresh potatoes and other locally grown veg are infamous.

Maria has a deep love for locally grown produce and supporting our indigenous agri-food and hospitality sectors. The first guest simply had to be her good friend Tara Walker. Tara (tarawalker.ie) is a fantastic chef and also a neighbour of Maria’s. They have a lovely conversation about food, cooking, the power of the potato and cupboard staples.

It is an easy listen and really interesting even if you are not a local to the Boyne Valley. We were delighted to be involved from concept to delivery and we hope you enjoy it!

The solstice is upon us again. We named Solstice Media Ltd in recognition of the special landscape we work and live in in the Boyne Valley. It means that twice a year we get to reflect on what ‘solstice’ means to us and what we have learnt since the previous solstice.

It is also a reminder that the year turns quickly! From a business perspective we had a great first half of 2026 and that means the Summer solstice, as well as marking the longest day of the year, encourages us to look towards what good things have yet to come to us ☀️ .

We are always upbeat because we know that no matter how long the night, that the sun will always rise. We hope we bring that confidence and certainty to our clients as we are definitely ‘cup half full’ in our approach - especially if the tea or coffee is good ☕
