Steve Mathers Photography

Steve Mathers Photography This is a page to highlight my photography! Hope you enjoy! I am originally from London but have lived in Co Dublin, Ireland since 1991.

As far back as I can remember I have had a camera, and was always taking "shapshots", it is only since getting my first DSLR in June 2007 that I have become serious about my photography. I am self taught, and have learn a lot from my friends at www.PhotographyIreland.net. Recently I have become more interested in B&W and Infrared photography! I am always looking to improve and hope that show's through in my work! Have a great day & thanks for looking

Cheers Steve

Another from Sunday's trip to Connemara.

The Doolough Tragedy is an event that took place on Friday 30 March 1849.during the Great Irish Famine in south west County Mayo, in which many perished

A cross and an annual Famine Walk between Louisburgh and Doolough commemorates this event. The monument in Doolough valley has an inscription from Mahatma Gandhi: How can men feel themselves honoured by the humiliation of their fellow beings?
