“Memory Lane” The journey- scroll
Pen, inks and pencil on wallpaper
This scroll represents childhood from where I grew up and memories of the places. Each building and field was left empty ready for us to explore. Each place holds a different set of memories. The buildings are in the correct order but are drawn in different angles, sizes and lighting conditions. This illustrates how memories may not be exact and we remember certain parts of a place more than others. Each location is a different size, showing how we were visiting certain places more than others.

Location sculpture-The journey: a portal to childhood memories situated where my friend and I used to play.
I used sticks from the walls of ‘the base’ a place that we built into a house like structure

We cannot re make our memories but we can revisit them.

Still life painting series: threshold. Delusion vs reality of the 15th century witch hunts.
Delusion- the women practicing herbal remedies and who were apothecaries were influenced by the Devil so were tortured and killed.
Reality- women were banned from studying medicine so therefore became apothecaries and helped the people around them to heal them.
Painting 1- fish eye lens painting
Painting 2- seen and unseen, what you see in the mirror is a foreshadow oft what is to come
painting 2- cold and eerie, Dutch angle with cool tones
