While passing through on the road from Portarlington to Portlaoise, I spotted this forgotten piece of Irish motoring history. Sitting beside an old Texaco pump, this abandoned classic looks as though time simply stood still. I couldn't resist stopping to capture it, both in colour and in black and white. The colour version shows the beauty of the surroundings, while the black and white images bring out the nostalgia, character and decades of history hidden in every patch of rust. Sometimes the best photographs are the ones you find when you're not looking for them...
