A little bit about me:
I love nothing more than spending time with my family, friends and dog Elmo! I always wanted to be a teacher and my dreams came true as I have just completed my first year of my masters degree in Primary School teaching in Maynooth. I am looking forward to inspiring the next generation and being a light in their lives. Next year, I hope to travel it Calcutta for a month to help and teach children over there. Music, dance and drama have always played a major role in my life and during my undergrad in NUIG I studied English, Irish and drama which furthered my love for the arts and languages. I performed in many musicals and shows down through the years, and I had the honour of playing Sive in “Sive” with the Other Abbey Players. I co-choreographed “Pippin” in 2019 with Galway University Musical Society and won an AIMS award. When the arts were put on hold, I began taking an interest in sports, particularly running. I am currently taking part in the 100km running challenge in aid of Lauralynn ChIldren’s Hospice. I recently finished my first triathlon too. A positive mindset is something of great importance to me and I am passionate about promoting mental health. I set up my Instagram page for this purpose and I also have written articles in the MayoYouth newspaper about wellness. I am so honoured to be taking part in such a wonderful event and I cannot wait to meet and get to know all these fabulous girls.
