Victories for Ardfert boys and Kilmoyley girls at the Allianz Cumannna mBunscol Finals at Austin Stacks Park on Tuesday June 9 2026.
Austin Stacks Park was the venue on Tuesday evening last for a double celebration for the parish. The Ardfert NS boys captured the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Div. 1 hurling title following an excellent performance against Scoil Naomh Erc Glenderry. When the sides met earlier in the season the sides finisthed on level terms in the ARC. However on this occasion the Ardfert boys were in fine form and wind assisted took a 2.7 to 0.3 lead at the break. They kept the physically stronger boys at bay from the start of the second half and struck a further three goals to record an historic victory and first since 2019. The Kilmoyley girls were in fine form fresh from a semi final victory over Scoil Treasa Naofa Kilflynn. They challenged for every sliotar against Scoil Chill Lúraigh and lead 2. 0 to z.0 at the end of the first half having played against the wind. They continued with excellent team work and no little skill in the second half to claim the Aoibheann Duffy Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Camogie Shield. Scoil Naomh Eirc: Cill Mhaoile.
