I started diving in Monterey California while stationed there in the military. Since then I have gone on to earn several different PADI certifications during my diving adventures all of the world. After meeting my wife and sharing my love of diving with her, she shared her passion for photography with me. Thanks to the amazing staff from an awesome dive shop in southeast Michigan, we started divin

g more frequently and my desire to share my love of the underwater world grew. I began taking pictures underwater with a cheap digital camera and was never satisfied with the color quality it produced Everything looked blue and wasn't the vibrant reds and purples that I was seeing. I made the jump to upgrade my equipment and have never looked back. I hope I can share some of the beauty that has captivated me underwater with everyone else.

These are a reminder to do all of your equipment checks before you dive! I had all batteries charged, empty memory cards ready to go and grabbed everything up in a hurry in the morning. Half way through the first dive at the Blue Lagoon we came across this beautiful octopus who just kind of hung out with us. After snapping about 4 shots I flipped the camera to video to watch him crawl over the reef and............ nothing. Turns out I grabbed the two half charged batteries in my rush. This guy hung out with us for a good five minutes before crawling into the reef. We got to see him change color and textures while out moving around. It was amazing to see, just a bummer I couldn't capture it all. Thankfully these first few shots came out alright!! Southern Dreams Diving Club thanks for the dives!
