A new experience in the middle of the dunes it felt like stepping into a dystopia.
For a second, crossing the Culali sand, I thought my eyes were lying to me. But in the middle of all that silence and dust, it was the Thule from and standing there, fully prepared to keep every runner moving forward, no matter how many miles were left ahead.
3 days on Mount Batur, embracing the harsh terrain, the cold nights, the endless sand, and everything that comes with the grind all to maintain our mentality.
