The winter photography season ended on March 1. We can look back on a beautiful winter: with a beautiful snowy landscape and lots of birds. During our photography sessions, the long-eared owls, which roost in flocks on the evergreen trees in the surrounding towns, are always very popular. The results of the long-eared owl count held in mid-January were quite surprising for all of us, as we had never seen owls in such numbers before: In Túrkeve, we observed 844 owls gathered in a small area. These owls spend the day, which is their resting time, resting on the evergreen trees of the town, and in the evening, at dusk, they set off to hunt. The sight of the owls flying out is also wonderful, but if we want more than that, we can also photograph them at their roosting places, with maximum carefull and without disturbance. The attached photos were taken this year. In addition to the long-eared owls, we can often observe Short eared owls at the roostig places. If you are interested in owls and would like to join a photography tour during which you will have the opportunity to photograph these beautiful birds, please contact us with confidence.
