Printing photographs in the Overgaard Photo Workshop Paris, today at the famous PICTO that used to print for Henri Cartier-Bresson. They have four locations in Paris and one lab in New York. We got pigment bw and color lambda peonts and got a tour of the darkrooms and the forty year old labmda printing machine operated by Thierry Constant for the last 25 years. Calibrated every few hours, a lambda printer prints with light on a ligt-sensitive paper, much like an inkjet peinter prints w ink on paper. Full-on adventure in Paris.

Arrived in Amsterdam for my Overgaard Photo Workshop starting tomorrow. My heart still full of impressions from Budapest photo walk with and a visit to the Robert Capa Museum / with my workshop group on the last day of the workshop. Amsterdam, Paris x 2, Florence and Berlin coming up (and Bozeman, San Francisco, New York and more in the US later this year)

Grateful to all the friendly photo enthusiasts who came out for the sunset walk with and and made tons of great photographs - helped by great light and patient innocent subjects who stayed in character even when 30 cameras pointed at them. Budapest Forever ♥️

Enjoying being home for a few days, writing, editing, recording and drinking coffee in the garden. It’s my Leica M10-R and Leica 50mm APO LHSA in my hands. Going to do photo workshops in Copenhagen, Budapest, Amsterdam, Paris, Florence, Berlin in the next few weeks. Looking forward to it all, and beautiful light and people in my workshops ♥️

In Charleston SC, the Southern city somewhat mid between Tampa and New York, known as “America’s Most Polite City” and also as “The Holy City” (there is 400 churches, like one for every 150 people). Mainly it has beautiful light, warm weather, heritage buildings, flowers and (actually a lot of) well-dressed people - always my wish for street photography! is where the sold-out Overgaard Photo Workshop for Leica photographers and photo entusiasts take place the next three days. Next up is New York, “NYC in Monochrome” Photo Workshop, May 2-4. Ask anything here or DM 💥

At high noon in the "Lion City," Singapore, where I spent a few days with my Photo Workshop, worked on my Leica Q3 43 book, and saw the new Leica Store Singapore and The Leitz Cafe and the nice people at South Beach Quarter (good, strong coffee!). This photo is from an Abstract series I made throughout Asia on this trip: Lots of black, high contrast and incredible sharp details. I often use both Lightroom Classic and Capture One for editing, and in this case Capture One won in the finer tonality and details. If I posted both, one probably couldn't tell the difference here on social media screens, but it's nice to know it's there, and when it gets printed on Canson photo paper, it'll pop! This location is outside of The Gateway Building in Singapore at high noon where the strong light paints a lot of contrast, and quite a lot of body traffic is going out for lunch in the city. I think we spent ten minutes there, so if anyone working in the building needs a new LinkedIn photo, I'm sure we have one of them exiting the building :-) Leica Q3 43 at f/5.6.
