A virtual photo exhibition dedicated to Thay, our dearest and beloved spiritual teacher. These photos were taken on the day of Thay’s transformation. Getting up and hearing the news, I sat with Thay’s guided meditation for almost an hour. Then I realised that Thay’s free spirit was lovingly existing around me, the sadness and heaviness were all gone, replaced with a lot of ease and joy in my heart. I went outing to somewhere afterwards, somewhere I had never been before. It was dark and rainy, not at all a so-called nice day for photo shooting. However, infused with Thay’s spirit in my heart, I was attentive and lucky enough to witness his transformation in every forms. He’s the rain, he’s the clouds, he’s the air, he’s the flowers, he’s the birds, he’s the mountain... I captured every forms in my lens, with love and joy. The day was special, from moment to moment, the clouds turned into many forms and enrich the sky and the scenery, made the entire place especially photogenic. Even the sun came out in the end. As clouds were the main theme on this day, I’d like to name this series of photos as ‘ The Path of White Clouds’, under the inspiration of Thay’s book, Old Path White Clouds, in which he retold the story of the life and teachings of Gautama Buddha. Whether you’re on this path or not, we can all be aware that white clouds are always around us, they’re constantly moving and changing, they’re in all forms, yet they’re also free, free from all forms. Knowing this, so it is the one and only path. 👣☁️
