I went from trick-or-treating, to kinda scary movies cuddled up inside. To costume parties 🎉 🪅👯 to back to cuddled up on the sofa with movies. And frankly...Im more into starting sappy Christmas movies at this time.

Because today as well as yesterday, watermelon 🍉 has been a symbol of freedom. A symbol and reminder that we cannot be free until we are all free.

(Btw, because your girl doesn't really like eating watermelons, these popsicles are actually cherry limeade flavored).

It’s been a while since I’ve been posting my culinary creations. I just kinda dipped and gave all my attention to my travel site Renee McKenzie | Travel Writer | Boutique Hotel Connoisseur]. And I shouldn’t have. I should have at least let you know what’s going on! I’ve had an exciting opportunity to travel Central America! I’ve been introduced to amazing new recipes, culinary traditions, and foodways that I cannot wait to share with you soon.

I’ve relocated and started catering in Antigua, Guatemala! If you would have told me 5 years ago that this is what I’d be doing today, I would have had serious doubts. But here I am! So, I’m putting a pause on my food photography for a bit until I get back into a studio. I don’t want to sacrifice the quality of my creative work while I’m out living my exciting life.

It's been a long time...I shouldn't have left you....without a few dope treats to snack to. lol ok ok, I'll show myself the door ( Rakim/Timbaland reference).

But yeah, it's been a while since I've posted here. I was starting to spread myself too think and needed to trim my focus for a while. But I'm back and I appreciate you sticking it out through the drought.

I think summer is here! We’ve had consistently warm weather for a week! Will it stay? I started thinking about easy summer salads. What will I be eating all summer?
