I haven’t been online as much for some time now, and I haven’t made any art; at least not visual one anyway. There is a good reason for this. I’m currently working on a book 📖 Yes, it’s been something I’ve always wanted to do, and I have written some short stories beside the poems I usually write. But since late January I took my idea seriously and started my first attempt at writing a psychological thriller. It’s based on a short story I have written, and currently trying to make it a novel.
I’m writing it in Greek at the moment, but as soon as it’s finished I will also write it in English.
Till then, here is a photo from last summer 🌊
I’d really like to thank my two best friends and for letting me add them in my book

Honored to see “The Last Reach” recognized in the TOP 23% of the 35AWARDS Surrealism thematic contest. 🏆

Out of 15,874 photographs from 107 countries, this quiet moment of surrealism found its voice.

Whether I am working with soft pastels, ink, or a lens, my goal remains the same: to reach for the truth behind the shadows.
Thank you to the community for this distinction.

Two versions of the reference photo I took for Feel free to do the black and white version instead of the colour one if you like — it’s a very good value practice.
I darkened the shadows in the black and white version more than in the colour one, but you can adjust them to your liking.

Which one would you like to draw/paint?

My mixed media version of Week 145 ~White Silence~ Thank you for this beautiful and challenging photo. This was way out my comfort zone as I mainly used posca markers (yes I have ) I also used watercolour markers and watercolour pencils (the Aquarino Box)

After so long I have finally finished this drawing. This is my first big coloured pencils drawing and I’m really happy with how it turned out. It took me about 35 drawing days, around 3 hours per day. It started as a .easel challenge back in September, continued it a few days in October and finally finished it about a week ago. It was a slow process and required lot of patience, which I didn’t always have. Some days were going smoothly, others were so frustrating. But here it is, the finished piece. ☺️
Second photo is a close up of the last shell 🐚 (the most difficult one)

First drawing of 2026, and first not digital one since October 4th, after my accident. It wasn’t my drawing hand broken (thank God), but I was bruised on both my arms and elbows and I couldn’t put any weight on them. Actually, it was very difficult to do the most simple things, like changing sides when sleeping.😬But that is gone now, and feeling a lot better. Hand not fully healed, but almost there. Been splint free for almost two months now, and I was physically able to draw all this time, but with the Christmas decorating, holiday season business and actual holidays, I haven’t done so. Also, and let me know if this happens to you too, I was emotional afraid, discouraged, and anxious to pick the pencils up again. I feel like I won’t succeed in completing this drawing, and today’s session wasn’t my favourite. Hope next one to reach my expectations. 🤞🏻 I finished the pebble and started the most difficult shell in this drawing. 😬😬😳
This supposed to be a short caption, but it feels like a memoir 🤣🤣🤣

As always coloured pencils Arists & Procolour on C à grain drawing pad
