I have been part of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) for many years, and through their enriching study programme, I have been deeply nurtured by the Word of God. It has been a blessing not only to learn but also to serve—as one of BSF’s commissioned artists. Here are some of the artworks I have created for them. Jacob wrestling with God, Genesis....

Saying goodbye to a friend

A portrait created as a gift for my dear friend, Sophie — one of the treasured members of our early years teaching team. Though it is bittersweet to see her go, I believe her next chapter will be filled with new adventures. Wishing you every success and joy ahead, Sophie!

My Handmade Christmas card

//

Today is my birthday.

I am truly thankful that I have a day off to do the things that I loved…

I have finished making the Christmas card of this year, which is a bit of a overdue task!

I made a nativity scene print inspired by the Christmas cards that I made these few years. It’s a lino print which I really like the textures and the handmade feel of it.

Thank you for all your birthday greetings, my family and friends, I am contented and had a wonderful day, I am truly blessed.

Sharing my Christmas decor journey this year, reflecting on Boxing Day!

Time flies – it’s the third Christmas since I moved into our UK home. In the first two years, a majestic seven-foot Christmas tree graced our living room, adorned with sparkling lights. Second-hand decorations from charity shops got a personal touch, transforming them to our liking.

With an increasing number of indoor plants, they slowly claimed the space meant for the Christmas tree. Juggling full-time work and active volunteering at our local church made life busier, and last year, the Christmas tree stood tall until Easter! This year, a decision was made: no Christmas tree, exploring other decorating methods.

Utilizing existing decorations and crafting a wreath for the first time became the focal point. Made from leaves, branches, and flowers casually collected, along with pine branches from our garden, ribbons, and a few garden centre finds – the result is satisfying. Hanging Christmas baubles in different spots, seamlessly blending with existing plants, completes the decor! This not only adds a festive atmosphere but also satisfies my decorating urge without the pressure of dismantling later – perfectly suiting our current needs!

Another highlight – receiving numerous Christmas cards from family, colleagues, neighbors, and church friends. Grateful for our expanding circle, adding warmth to our life in the UK.

Reflecting on Christmas✨🎄

This marks my 3rd Christmas card crafted amidst the hustle and bustle of life in the UK. It's been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, yet undeniably rewarding.

This year, there are no travel plans; just a desire to embrace the quiet warmth of the season with cherished family and friends.

Looking back on these past few years, my journey in the UK has been nothing short of amazing. I've challenged myself in various realms and had the pleasure of making wonderful new friends.

However, there's a part of my heart that forever belongs to my friends and relatives in Hong Kong. They are the irreplaceable threads of my past, shaping the person I am today. 🌟

To all my friends, especially those from the old days, I miss you dearly. Wishing you the most wonderful Christmas and a joyous New Year!

🌟
