A young male lion stalking buffalo alone nears Dukes dam in Kruger National Park. He may not have been able to take down a fully grown animal on his own but there were a lot of newly born calves and some lame older ones too. Which would have made easier prey.

A Leopard licking its lips after performing a Flehman grimace at the same bush it is standing under. The Flehmen grimace is where animals curl back their lips and inhale deeply, allowing the Jacobson's organ, located at the roof of their mouth, to pick up pheromones and other scents, gathering information about other animals.

Eilean Donan Castle is situated on the road to Skye in Scotland's northwestern highlands. This view is driving towards it from Skye with Loch Duich behind it. Stunning scenery and is well worth a visit if you haven't been.
