Today’s walk was a good 7 miles around the Alwen Reservoir! It’s safe to say Me, Parker and Hendrix are well and truly ready for bed! The weather was overcast the majority of the walk but then we were hit with red hot sun for the last quarter of the journey.. which wasn’t ideal timing 😴

In all seriousness though, it was quite frankly scary to see the water as low as it was!

South Stack… Another one off the list.

Considering how much time I spend on Anglesey, I just never seem to find the time to go here, plus I don’t like crowds or people 😂

Here’s some I managed to get around 7:00am this morning, moody skies made for some dramatic shots.

I’m back.

After what felt like a decade, I’m back with a camera in my hand. A good while ago my pride and joy Sony went to camera heaven. So now finally I have a newer model, Mirrorless, 33mp and full frame.

Back doing what I love.

Here is a few from the past week, Nant Y Ffrith waterfall and Porth Wen brick works.

It’s been a while..

New year’s day since my last decent hike so Sunday just gone, it was time to get the boots on. With me favourite walking adventurer with me, we set off from Wrexham at 3am. Bound for Cadair Idris.

We took the Minffordd path, which if you know, the steps are gruelling tired 😴 What a hike though, we got to the summit just as the sun come over the horizon, sat in my new favourite bothy for a coffee and took in the breathtaking scenes.

As far as photography goes, there is far more compositions then I immediately thought, the sun helped it especially as it lit up the front face of the peak. Overall I am over the moon with the photos I managed to get. Onto the next one 🥾 🚶

Sometimes you don’t need to hike, spend hours walking or sit in the freezing cold waiting for the sun to rise or set on you.

All three photos are taken right next to the car in lay by’s on some of our beautiful Welsh Roads through Eryri. 115 Miles were covered today, just me and my Lad. Weather wasn’t perfect all the way around but was nice to get out and blast some music!

Friendly reminder.. Nant Mill/ Bersham Waterfall isn’t just for summer..

These conditions are right up my street, dark, moody and bleak. The mist added to the atmosphere and I come away with some photos I’m proud of. Morale of the story.. if it looks like it’s too miserable.. still go out 📸

With all this snow I thought I would share my attempt from New Years Day at finding some snow..

Oh and I found some.. as well as ice, hail, 50 mph winds and a windchill of -18 ❄️ All joking aside, this was a very hard and demanding trek. The Glyders in them conditions are not to he taken lightly. Visibility at the 3 summits were pretty much nothing at all. Even as the sun come up nothing improved and clouds were still not moving. As i reached Llyn Idwal I managed to snap a few moody and miserable style photos of where I had been and a few of the valley.

I’m hoping towards this week the roads are clearer towards Eryri bit still snowey mountains so I can go back and take some more of my favourite place on earth!
