Fledgling season is officially here! 🌾🐣

There is nothing quite like the charm of a freshly fledged Stonechat. They are packed with so much personality—mostly looking like a round, fluffy ball of feathers balancing on a reed while they try to figure out the world around them.

For me, slow photography is all about these quiet moments of patience, waiting for that perfect stillness where the subject completely pops against a smooth, golden background.

Aerial drama. 🦅 vs 🐦‍⬛ Swipe to see who won...
Red Kites are absolute masters of the sky, but that doesn’t stop local crows from trying their luck. Caught this incredible moment of mobbing behavior, showing just how agile these massive raptors have to be in mid-air.

Slide 1 captures the tension of the chase, while Slides 2 and 3 show off the incredible scale, top-down wing detail, and precision of the Kite banking against that crisp blue sky.

It's always a thrill tracking these birds in flight. Which frame caught your eye the most? Let me know in the comments! 👇

Macro details in the May sunshine. 🦋✨

Spent some quiet time slowing down to capture the intricate patterns of this Small Tortoiseshell butterfly. The way the light hits those rich orange hues and the tiny blue details along the wing edges is incredible up close.

Nature really is the best designer.

Dynamic contrast and regal character. 🐧✨

There is something incredibly stately about a King Penguin profile. Captured at Birdland, this frame was all about waiting for that perfect angle where the light cleanly catches the rich orange and gold tones of the feathers against a completely dark backdrop.

For me, slow photography is all about finding these quiet, studio-like portraits out in the wild. The depth in the textures made the patience entirely worth it.

Small bird, HUGE attitude. 😅

Don't let that elegant profile fool you—beneath that calm floating exterior, the Eurasian Coot is fueled by pure, unadulterated rage. They will genuinely pick a fight with a swan, a duck, or their own reflection just to protect their patch of water.

Easily the ultimate lake drama queen, and honestly, I love them for it. 👑 TRACK: "Lost in Thoughts" by Giulio Cercato.

Nature’s color palette at its absolute finest. 🎨✨

Spotting the brilliant red and yellow of a European Goldfinch always makes a photography session worth it. I love how this one paused and gave me a direct look right as the shutter clicked!

Capturing these small, fast songbirds takes a lot of patience and a steady hand, but these quiet moments in nature are exactly why I do what I do.

I’m currently updating my collection with some fresh prints. Would you like to see more backyard songbirds like this one in the shop? Let me know in the comments!

Two is company. 🖤

Spent some time watching these Pied Avocets wading through the shallows. Their unique, upward-curved beaks are fascinating to watch in action as they sweep through the water for food. Wildlife photography always reminds me to slow down and just appreciate these quiet interactions.

Nature’s paintbrush doesn't hold back. 🎨❤️

There is something absolutely mesmerizing about seeing a Scarlet Ibis in person. That intense, fiery red plumage completely commands your attention, standing out effortlessly against the greenery. It’s a photographer's dream to capture colors this vivid.

Framed by spring for just a moment. 🌸

The water was completely still, the blossom hung perfectly around the scene, and this swan drifted quietly through it all as if it belonged there.

Sometimes nature arranges the composition for you.

A masterclass in patience. 🦢✨
Spent a quiet afternoon at and caught this lovely moment. It’s amazing how tolerant this nesting Moorhen is, letting the ducklings explore her space. Sometimes the best "short films" are the ones happening right at our feet.
