With summer just around the corner, I’ve been reflecting a lot on why I started Moments by Melissa… and it always comes back to the same thing. Being part of people’s most special, emotional, once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Weddings, celebrations, all those little in-between memories that deserve to be captured and relived.

So as we head into such a beautiful season, I wanted to give something back and open the door for more couples to have their day documented in a natural, meaningful way.

Today I attended my very first wedding fayre as Moments by Melissa 🤍

It was such a lovely experience meeting so many couples planning their weddings and chatting to people about capturing the real, behind the scenes moments that make celebrations so special.

One of the things that stood out the most today was the support between local suppliers. The wedding and events industry is full of incredibly talented people who genuinely want to see each other succeed and support small businesses.

A big thank you to Lisa at Tied With A Bow for organising such a lovely fayre and bringing together so many wonderful suppliers.

It was also lovely meeting some amazing people today including Rachel Sowell who is absolutely smashing it, and Kelvin Tung Photography. Seeing Kelvin’s photo albums today was incredible and it was actually his first wedding fayre too, so hopefully we’ll get to work together at a wedding or event soon☺️

For any couples or event planners reading this, wedding fayres are such a great way to meet your suppliers in person, see their work up close and ask questions about your day. Many suppliers (including myself) also offer exclusive fayre discounts on packages that you won’t find anywhere else.
