The Oasis — a dedicated wellbeing space designed to give employees somewhere to escape the pace of the working day.

From relaxing in the massage chair or taking some time out with a book, to simply meeting a colleague for a quiet coffee, The Oasis provides a calm and tranquil environment away from the normal workplace surroundings.

For this video, the challenge was to capture that feeling — using smooth, considered camera movement, ambient details and a more relaxed pace to reflect the atmosphere of the space itself.

Sometimes the best way to showcase a space is to keep moving…

Here's our promotional video we created for Kutchenhaus, taking viewers on a fast-paced journey around their kitchen showroom.

Rather than a traditional walkthrough, we used speed warping to move quickly between different areas of the showroom, before slowing the action at key points to reveal individual kitchens, features and details.

It’s a great technique for this kind of promotional content — giving the video energy and movement while still allowing the viewer time to take in the things you actually want them to notice.

Sometimes the best angle is straight down. 🚁🌊

Another favourite from our shoot with the Maritime Volunteer Service in Poole — and a great example of just how different the world can look from above.

As the watercraft carved its way around the harbour, the wake created this incredible pattern in the water. From ground level you'd experience the speed and movement; from directly overhead, it becomes something completely different.

That's one of the things we love about combining conventional cameras with drones. It isn't simply about getting the camera higher — it's about finding viewpoints that can completely change the way a subject, location or action is seen.

A recent promotional photography shoot at Upton Country Park for Rock & Rose Rituals & Conkers Magical Earth Academy — and a great example of how a single shoot can capture very different sides of a brand.

From the children getting stuck into creative, nature-inspired activities outdoors, to detailed shots of the handmade products and displays, the aim was to create a varied collection of professional imagery that tells a much broader story.

Last term we were at Lockyer’s Middle School capturing the celebrations after pupil George was named the Premier League’s Young Academy Writer of the Year 2025.

George, who plays for AFC Bournemouth’s U10 Academy, beat more than 200 entries with his story My Debut — earning a very special visit to his school from the Premier League Trophy.

The whole school came together for the occasion, with Premier League referee Farai Hallam joining the celebrations, talking to the pupils about refereeing, decision-making and handling pressure.

What does a day at school really look like?

From arriving through the school gates in the morning to lessons, reading, creativity, play, friendships and everything that happens in between…

We recently created a ‘Day in the Life’ video for The Epiphany School in Bournemouth, capturing the school from a child’s perspective and showing what makes an ordinary school day anything but ordinary. 🎥

Rather than simply filming classrooms and facilities, the aim was to capture the experience of being there — the little moments, interactions and activities that give parents a genuine feel for the school and its atmosphere.

The Epiphany describes itself as having a real family feel, with an emphasis on knowing, caring for and supporting its children, and that was something we wanted to come through naturally in the finished film.

For schools, a video like this can be a fantastic way to bring a website and social media to life, giving prospective families an insight that photographs and written information alone simply can't provide.

From digital design to finished aerospace components… layer by layer. ⚙️🔥

Additive manufacturing takes engineering in a completely different direction. Rather than machining a component from a solid block of material, sophisticated metal printing systems can build complex parts layer by layer, opening up possibilities for lighter components, intricate geometries and designs that would be difficult to manufacture conventionally.

For us, it also makes for some fantastic filming.

We combined detailed ground-level cinematography of the machinery, processes and finished components with wider shots showing the scale of the facility — plus aerial footage to establish the film witha real sense of place.

Industrial and engineering environments are some of our favourite places to film. There’s always a story behind what’s being made, and our job is to turn highly technical processes into engaging visual content that people outside the industry can understand and appreciate.

A hidden corner of Poole, captured from the ground and the air…

We recently had the pleasure of creating a new video for Friends of Coy Pond, showcasing the beautiful Coy Pond and the work that goes into looking after this special local space.

Dating back to 1888, Coy Pond and its surrounding gardens cover around nine acres, with wooded paths, mature trees, gardens, wildlife and the Bourne Stream running through the area. The gardens are also Grade II* listed.

For the film, Dorset Video Shoots and Dorset Drone Shoots combined ground-level cinematography with aerial footage to show the pond from a completely different perspective — capturing the water, gardens and surrounding landscape, as well as the character that makes it such a lovely place to visit.

It was also a chance to highlight the work of the Friends of Coy Pond, whose volunteers help maintain and enhance the gardens and encourage the local community to enjoy and engage with the natural environment.

Projects like this are a great example of how video and drone filming can help charities, community groups, visitor attractions and local organisations tell their story and showcase the places they care for.

And when the location looks this good from the air, it would be rude not to send the drone up! 🌿🎥🚁

rom unused loft space to a whole new part of the home…

We’re starting a new project with World of Lofts, following the transformation of this property as the existing loft is converted into additional living space.

This was our pre-conversion shoot, capturing the property before work begins. We’ll be returning as the project progresses to create a promotional video that shows not just the finished result, but the transformation that goes into getting there.

For businesses in construction, property and home improvement, this kind of project is perfect for video. Capturing the before, the process and the finished result gives potential customers a much better understanding of what you actually do — and the difference your work can make.
