M.J.Hillier Photography

M.J.Hillier Photography Portrait and Event Photography with a Difference - M.J.Hillier Photography Photography is not just a profession, it's a way of life and a passion. Mart

You see light and images in a different way, and being able to capture those moments should be an honour. The photographers gene was passed down through my mother's side of the family. I was just 13 when I started capturing images on film, and was fortunate to have pictures published in the London press soon after. As I grew up, a camera never left my side, learning more and more every time I pick

ed it up. I have worked alongside artists, designers and professionals who have all taught me valuable lessons. I want the images that I create to be different; there is no fun and excitement in seeing photos that look the same as everyone else's. People are unique, and you deserve your photos to be too. I have always been inspired by people - how they behave, what they think, if they laugh or cry, what they say and do. A photograph is much more than an image on paper. It should tell a story of emotion. We often skip over the fact that we are all amazing; for me the best part of it all is that I get to work with amazing and unique people like you.

It's Friday and something a little different!

Being in lockdown meant I wasn't able to capture that many new photos, so I resorted to playing with some old images. Here are two Apaches taken on on Salisbury Plain a few years ago, it's a very simple composite of two images, making the sky look far more dramatic than it was on the day. β›ˆβ›ˆβ›ˆ
