What a year it has been! I know, it's been a very long time since posting on here.
What another mix we've had!
Apologies in advance for the long post, but just wanted to share honestly and openly. 🙏
💖Lifting of lockdown in April saw an almost overwhelming return to getting back out with my camera again, for which I was so grateful!
💙Mid-july I found out I was pregnant and am currently 27 weeks with some proper wriggling going on right now!
🤢August was super rough with constant nausea and fatigue, and this time, was grateful for a very quiet period.
🙏Trimester 3 has gone nicely, feeling much better and looking after myself as a top priority, minimising heavy lifting and accepting "lighter" jobs only.
🤧 December, first of all I came down quickly with a heavy cold and chest infection but manged some work, and got better after hubby left for the US for 2 weeks.
🤦♀️ Due to drinking honey with lemon & fruit juice a lot through my cold (no meds allowed except paracetamol) my glucose spiked so had to be checked for gestational diabetes at *the hospital*
🤦♀️🤦♀️ 5 days later receive an alert that I was near someone who tested positive for Covid *the day I was at the hospital and nowhere else* and need to get tested ASAP.
🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ Find out that that the result is positive, and am now isolating (Merry Christmas!)
✈️😷 Told husband to stay with his parents when he get home until I test negative so he doesn't have to isolate either. Making it at least 3 weeks apart instead of 2.
🙏🙏🙏 However! All I feel is a bit of a headcold. My chest is clear, I can still smell & taste, and baby is definitely kicking away! 💙💙💙
💖 I have brilliant family and friends who constantly ask after me, keep me supplied with everything, they have all tested negative repeatedly, and I can't wait to meet our little one in March!
So I am still able to feel grateful for so much love, support and health. That is all that matters to me right now.
Have a wonderful pre-Christmas, everyone!
PS my glucose levels came back as normal. 😅🙏🙈
