I finally got a film back that I took on the 28th of November. Here are most of the photos I took in Willenhall on the day the Xmas lights were switched on.

I wish I'd been able to take more, because it was great to see lots of people about! I do have another one that's very similar to the last photo in this post, but I'm keeping that one back for now.

Why take photos of the things displayed in shop windows?

One day it occurred to me that a major reason we visit high streets is to look at things we might buy. It’s such an everyday experience, but I’d never considered taking photos of the things we see in shops before.

I became curious about how I could photograph these things. I was interested how this might have been done in the past in Willenhall.

Why Willenhall?

I started taking photos quite casually in Willenhall, but quickly realised I wanted to spend longer looking at things here. Even though I live in Willenhall and think of it as a well known quantity, I kept discovering more.
