A winter wedding wrapped in sea air, soft light and the quiet drama of the North Yorkshire coast ❄️

Tilly & Harry were married at St Oswald’s Church in Lythe, perched above the cliffs with breathtaking views across the Whitby coastline.

Their vision was simple…relaxed, Christmassy, good times, good vibes and a party to remember…and it unfolded effortlessly. From there, everyone gathered at Egton Manor Estate, a hidden country retreat in the North York Moors, where drinks were flowing and the celebration truly began!

We were so honoured to be back with this family again, having photographed Tilly’s sister’s wedding back in 2021. This was a full circle moment that made the day even more special.

This truly was a beautiful winter wedding that balanced dramatic scenery with warmth, laughter and togetherness.

A December winter wedding in the Cotswolds always has a certain kind of magic ✨

Lydia & Sam’s day began with a beautiful church ceremony, full of quiet emotion and that unique winter light, before moving on to an intimate celebration at Huxley’s Café & Brasserie, a cosy Italian w**e bar tucked away in the heart of Chipping Campden.

Small, relaxed and full of laughter, their reception felt more like a long, joyful dinner party with friends than a traditional wedding day. Candles glowing, glasses clinking and laughter lasting all evening.

Lydia & Sam wanted their photos to feel natural and fun, capturing the real atmosphere of the day, the in between moments and all the warmth that comes with celebrating in winter.

A reminder that intimate weddings can be just as full of joy, connection and story.
