A colour palette that feels like you! Not what’s trending, but something that instantly feels right the moment you see it.

Styling choices that reflect your taste, not the wedding world - the little details you’ve chosen because you love them, not because you felt like you should 🫶🏼

And the meaningful touches, the quiet, often overlooked details that might not stand out to everyone else, but mean everything to you.

This spring yellow shoot felt like such a soft reminder that it’s never about doing more… it’s about choosing with intention.

A question I frequently get asked…

“What should we actually be thinking about before the wedding, when it comes to photos?”

And I love this question 🤍 Because it opens the door to something more than just the wedding day itself

It gives us the chance to collaborate beforehand, to figure out what you’re drawn to visually, what feels like you, and where your priorities really lie🤍

Most couples come to me wanting their photos to feel candid, documentary and unobtrusive (which is still very much at the heart of how I work)

But when we dig a little deeper into what truly makes you light up when you imagine your gallery, that’s where the magic happens ✨

So when I ask about a shot list, I don’t just mean group photos!

And to be clear, your photographer doesn’t need a checklist of moments like rings, confetti or first kiss, those are already instinctive to us. We’re tuned into the rhythm of a wedding day, both the big moments and the quiet ones in between.

What I’m really asking is this!

Do you love the idea of carving out a little time in the morning for soft, romantic portraits before the dress goes on, a moment to feel confident and present?

Or maybe you’ve been imagining running through an outdoor space at golden hour (bridal zoomies fully encouraged 🌿) because movement and playfulness feel far more like you than standing still ever could

That’s the kind of insight I’m looking for 🫶🏼

WENNINGTON 🫶🏼

I spent today at showcase and it reminded me how lucky I am to photograph here so often 🤍

It’s been the venue I’ve returned to the most over the past year, and every time I arrive it feels like stepping into the loveliest team 🩷

It has also been so lovely seeing all the lovely suppliers here today

The tiny details at the start of your morning can set the tone for your entire wedding gallery… and it’s something I get asked about all the time ✨

Bridal prep detail photos (your shoes, perfume, jewellery, rings etc) might feel like a small part of the day, but they’re actually a really lovely opportunity to get creative and start telling the story of your wedding.

And the best part? There’s no single “right” way to do them

You can keep things beautifully simple 🤍
Just your earrings, shoes and a few pieces that finished your look. Clean, elegant, timeless.

Or you can lean into the styling a little more ✨
Maybe you bring in elements from the rest of the day - if you’re planning a disco ball filled wedding breakfast, imagine that sparkle showing up in your morning details too 🪩

Colour can completely change the feel too 🍊
Some brides love including rich tones that reflect their wedding styling or the season they’re getting married in. Others prefer something more minimal - a single intentional colour as a statement, or a crisp black and white palette for a clean, modern look.

Then there’s light 💫
This is something I’ll shape on the morning depending on the space we have to work with. Soft window light can feel romantic and airy, strong contrast can add drama, or flash can create something bold and editorial. It’s often the very first visual “feeling” of your gallery!

You also don’t have to stick to traditional wedding items. Some of my favourite flat lays have included things like a favourite book, fruit, beautiful fabrics, chessboards or the keys of a piano ♟️

Anything that feels like you can become part of the story🎀

I can absolutely work with whatever you have on the morning, but when couples intentionally gather a few pieces that reflect their style or the feel of their day, it gives me so much more to play with creatively 🫶🏼

Texture, colour, depth, light - all those little elements help me create something really striking for the start of your gallery✨

And honestly, I love that moment of creativity at the beginning of the day 🤍

Spring at Eaves Hall just hits different 🌿✨

Ashley & Lee’s day was full of that kind of energy - elegant, joyful, and then pure madness once the dance floor opened. The best combination 🥂

Loved teaming up with on this one too. Always such a good vibe working alongside people who just get it 🤍🎥

And a little full-circle moment for me - this was the first of three weddings I photographed at Eaves Hall in 2025. 10 years since my very first wedding at - Where the love for photography started 🤍

BIG energy for Sabrina & Joel’s wedding day at in August 🥂✨🪩

Thinking about summer evenings on this chilly Sunday in January, in particular summer evenings that involve singing waiters, long golden hours and Aperol spritz☀️

S&J made such an effort to make sure there was never a dull moment on their wedding day, and having a group of incredible friends that are just as committed to keeping the vibes up made for an unforgettable party 🪩

You’re getting married NEXT year!!

Exciting, crazy, (scary) amazing

Planning your wedding comes in waves i’ve realised (as a 2026 bride)

January is the time when suppliers will book UP, and I promise i’m not saying this to scare you!! Taking this at your own pace is super important, enjoy the whole process, not just the wedding day 🤍

However

If you have a supplier you love, reach out !! There’s nothing more heart breaking than receiving an enquiry and having to say you’re no longer available

I’m currently 50% booked for 2027 and have ONE date remaining for 2026

Once I reach my personal limit for the year, I close my books, ensuring I’m not stepping into the dreaded burn-out territory & have the time each of my couples deserves before, during & after their wedding day 🤍
