A Light From Within.

St Oswald's Church in Oswestry, Shropshire, features extensive Victorian stained glass, including vibrant windows produced by prominent 19th-century studios like Clayton & Bell and Ballantine & Son. Illuminated from within after dark, the glass panels and protective outer grilles stand out sharply against the exterior stone mullions along Church Street. The interior lighting happened to line up cleanly behind one of the saintly halos, giving the central figure an extra bit of unexpected radiance.
