A stunning sculpture which forms part of Aberystwyth War Memorial, Ceredigion, Wales.

​Designed by Italian sculptor Mario Rutelli and unveiled in 1923, this bronze figure represents 'Humanity Emerging from the Horrors of War' at the base of the town's seafront cenotaph. Positioned facing Ceredigion Bay, the figure strains forward from a thicket of tangled bronze branches and debris, with an weathered green patina accumulated over a century of salt air and coastal storms. 1

The Scenic Route to Clarach.

The Ceredigion Coast Path winding north from Constitution Hill in Aberystwyth, looking out across Clarach Bay towards Borth and the Dyfi Estuary.
​Stretching 60 miles from Cardigan to Ynyslas, this section of the coastal path follows the rugged cliff edge where the dramatic, folded Silurian sedimentary rock formations drop down to the Irish Sea. The ascent up Constitution Hill offers vast views across Cardigan Bay, with the Victorian cliff railway running alongside the path to the summit.

Three contrasting architectural eras meeting along the Shrewsbury skyline.
​Modern glass-and-steel panelling sits shoulder-to-shoulder with ornate Gothic revival stonework, while a classic brick facade frames the opposite side. Historic market towns like Shrewsbury often present these striking visual juxtapositions, where centuries of urban evolution are compressed into a single, compact field of view.
