It's a frickin' chicken! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
Spotted on a walk in Shrewsbury.

This close-up profile reveals the remarkably dense crest of a Silver Laced Polish chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus).

โ€‹The Polish (or Poland) is an old European breed of domestic chicken known primarily for its large, globular crest of feathers, which grows from a prominent bony protuberance on the top of the skull. Historically bred for egg production, they are now largely kept as show birds and ornamental pets. Because the voluminous crest can frequently obscure their forward and upward vision, these chickens are prone to being easily startled by sudden movements.

We were driving up to Aberystwyth yesterday evening to have a fish & chips tea whilst watching the sunset. Just outside Aberystwyth a farmer was working his field, and a load of Red Kites and a couple of Buzzards were circling overhead. Luckily there was a layby next to the field, so I turned around, parked up and got the camera out. We spent 15 minutes watching these magnificent creatures!
