“Longing-Touha” 70cm x 100cm

This is a commission by a wonderful Jaroslava Samková and it’s proudly hanging in it’s new forever home now. ❤️🙏

I was asked to paint some birds on a larger canvas. I didn’t know exactly what I’m gonna paint until I took a lovely evening stroll at the wedding in a beautiful town Vodňany. I was captured by the beautiful sky with dramatic clouds (some looking like air elementals 🤭). I was looking up in awe and suddenly there were swallows everywhere, joyfully dancing above me. I just knew this is the view for the painting.

I believe when you are asked to paint for a specific person the painting comes up just right for them. And this time I got a confirmation again. For the lady I was painting this for, swallows have a special place in her hearth. She was a little girl looking at swallows, longing to do what they do. Travel somewhere and then come back home. She since the travelled the world and has many wonderful stories which she tells with the joy in her eyes.
Of course I didn’t know how symbolic swallows are for her. But I think something within me felt it. ☺️

It’s so special when your friend and collector celebrates his big birthday. I wanted to surprise him… But he surprised me more! 😂

So here we are, something hanging on the wall next to my foxy painting and instead of sharing with you what is underneath that brown wrapping paper, I give you a display of my wrapping skills. 😂

What a weekend! 😅
We have celebrated 70th Birthday of one of the funniest and brilliant person I know my all life 🥳

My dad. He is a lot! He is called a Robot. Also he is a TV chef, non stop stand-up comedian, handyman, chaos maker. He is a joy bringer and loves people.

He is very inspiring in many ways.
I have painted him a special place, a river Černá where he has spent his childhood.
My sister wrote a book for him filled with stories he used to made up and tell us for the bedtime. Mum run a pub quiz. And of course we sang! 🎶

And as a cherry on the top, we were treated to the most delicious pastries by 🤩❤️🙏 and had some delicious food at beautiful venue

This one was a Birthday present for a very special lady 🤩

For the inspiration I have used my photo of a water lilies I took while ago in the Monet’s gardens in Giverny.

Such a great object to paint! And I love its symbolism as a plant that rises from the mud to bloom beautifully above the surface. Very much like life, rising from the dark places, growing to our potential 🩷

Good news! 🤩 🖼️

I wanted to add my paintings on online shop Fler for a long time, so now I’ve finally put some first ones there! 🥳

At the moment you will find some “Besties” series (gift for both, you and your friend) and a few other ones but I plan to expand it a lot. (It’s just time consuming 😌)

What a lovely day yesterday doing the egg hunt at Hluboká nad Vltavou! 🤩 🪺🥚🫟

We have bumped into friends, had a most lovely walk at the castle grounds and this one should definitely be a plein air painting spot soon, the place is so magical. 🤭

And the cake and coffee at was just divine, I will definitely be back there soon! ☕️🍰

There’s never enough of this view do you agree? 😁 …Or am I just going through my Stonehenge painting period? 🤭

It’ a little unusual angle as I have painted this from the photo I took when I visited this magnificent sacred space. I didn’t remember the solo standing monolith and thought it looks so majestic I should give it an honourable place in the composition.

It’s painted on a beautiful wooden board and it can be yours if you love it enough to give it a home! 🤩💚💙🩵
