St. Peter's Basilica, Bernini's Baldacchino. The Baldacchino is made up of 4 columns, each standing 12 meters high, which are adorned with Corinthian capitals. It is made from 700 kg of bronze and gilded in gold which was donated by King Henry IV of France. Aside from its indistinguishable beauty, the Baldacchino is a special part of the Church because it was built right above the Tomb of St. Peter. Was blessed to see this with my own eyes.

My visit to Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major.
A stunning location and well worth a visit if you are in Rome.
Mary Major reigns as an authentic jewel in the crown of Roman churches. Its beautiful treasures are of inestimable value, and represent the Church's role as the cradle of Christian artistic civilization in Rome. For nearly sixteen centuries, St. Mary Major has held its position as a Marian shrine par excellence.

Santa Maria Maggiore Altar.
Also known as the Basilica of Saint Mary Major or the Basilica of Saint Mary the Great, is one of the four major papal basilicas and one of the Seven Pilgrim Churches of Rome. The largest Marian church in Rome, it is regarded as the first Marian sanctuary in the Western world and the mother of all sanctuaries.

Borghese Chapel and Salus Populi Romani.

The illustrious Borghese Chapel, also known as the Paolina Chapel, with one of the most well-known icons in the Alma Citta', the glorious Salus Populi Romani (Protectress of the Roman People) painting. The chapel is located inside the Basilica of St. Mary Major, Rome. Many popes have praised the image and it is a key Marian shrine in the Eternal City. This was such a beautiful place to visit.

Peace Bridge Fog. This was shot away back in November 2013 when we were the City of Culture. Always love it when you get patches of fog on the Foyle blocking out the bust backgrounds and making the Peace Bridge pop out. The fantastic still water just adds to the beauty.

Hard to believe this shot is over 10years old. This may have been the first time I visited this old wreck and have been back many times over those 10 years. One of my favourite locations for sure. Go Visit Donegal Tourism Ireland Love Ireland

Grianan Aurora 2024.....Always wanted to capture the Aurora from here and finally got the shot. I have been there a few times and it just didn't happen and when I got there tonight it was raining and cloudy but after 20 mins the clouds disappeared and The Aurora shone in all it's glory...
