Lighting is everything when it comes to photography!

Here’s two images I took just with my phone. The second image I have just a little light but I am turned away from the main light source, this is causing unflattering shadows on my face this shows up more flaws on the skin too!
The first image I am turned towards this beautiful open sky, and I am stood under some gorgeous open shade with access to this gorgeous light in the sky. This covers my face beautifully causing my skin to look so much more flattering than in the second image.

Happy Friday everyone, another week has gone by already.

Thought I’d share a few more ideas with you all on more ideas for using branding shoot images before the week is out.

#1 YouTube - An eye catching scroll stopping image of you - make yourself recognisable!

#2 add images to your newsletters - plan ahead and share your ideas with your photographer. What sales drives do you have planned?

Pinterest - one of my fave platforms used by a wide audience of people looking for inspiration and ideas. Have fun with this platform, you can definitely use a more relaxed, friendly and approachable image.

Extra tip! Wearing your brand colours in your images across different platforms will make you recognisable and be remembered by people. When they see these colours they will start to think of you.

You’ve had a brand shoot what do you do with your images now?

Facebook profile image - these are usually a Headshots style you want to be recognisable to people, you want a killer Headshot that makes you stand out.

Instagram profile image– you could use a different image to the one you use on your Facebook profile image, think about how you want to portray yourself on this platform, think about the audience you have on Instagram, Instagram users tend to be a younger audience to that on Facebook.

Website banner - these are a horizontal image and you may want to leave some negative space to the left or the right so you can add some text to this area.
Add text in your brand colours and fonts. You could also add your business logo.
