The Active resort in is a top class hotel offering a taste of luxury (when upgraded to Royal Level) in a fully relaxing environment. That said, being right on the coast boarding a secluded beach allows for some energy intense swimming (if you don’t fancy the size swimming pool). Or, if like me you prefer your exercise to be more land based, the 8km there and back run along the waters edge to Costa Teguise is beautifully scenic and easily to build a decent pace. Being only 10 mins from the airport and a 40 min walk into Costa Teguise, this hotel is well worth a visit from those seeking time to relax to those wanting to train hard and play easy.
The views from the accommodation can be incredibly beautiful, from our balcony, I would regularly relax watching the ocean just behind the hypnotic rotation of the twin windmills in the near by power station. The food in the Asana restaurant was tasty, well presented of a professional standard and a pretty good selection, although it may not suit all children’s tastes. The buffet in the main area was a bit bland and selection was not great, but it was enough the compliment what was missing in the Asana. Staff were fantastic all round. Incredibly friendly and professional, I felt very welcome and they were also great with my son.
There are plenty of pools at the resort, including the Olympic sized pool, accessible for a small additional charge. I did try the other pools, but ended up spending 95% of my time at the private Royal infinity Pool on the coast side of the hotel. It was quiet, relaxing, great views, good bar and sometimes the pool was completely empty.
In the room, the beds are huge and very comfy. If I was to be very picky, I could fault the phones not working, chain on window broken and TVs not tuned in the the same channels, but otherwise they are fairly spacious, great showers, some nice luxury extras in the bathroom; the cleaning service was also top notch.
This hotel is definitely one I and my family would consider when we next visit .
