Kevin Hatfield Photography

Kevin Hatfield Photography Retired and loving the opportunity to photograph animals, both in the wild and in captivity.

Prior to taking early retirement in 2015, I didn’t really have a hobby, I took a few photos of family members or animals with the camera firmly stuck in Auto mode, without a clue what to do. Following retirement I had the time to learn how to improve my photographic skills, so I attended various sessions with Professional Photographers such as Bob Brind-Surch, Drew Burnett, Alma Leaper at the Big

Cat Sanctuary and Roy De Ruijter at Chameleon Photography. I have learnt loads of stuff from all of these people and have become friends with each of them as well. I have now have a skill set and good quality photographic equipment to enable me, to enjoy watching and observing animals as well as having confidence and skill set to capture the beauty of the animals in a photograph. I am happy to photograph any animal, however Big Cats remain my absolute favourite subjects to photograph.
