Let me hear your stories.
This is a shot I took at at Shelsley Walsh a few weeks ago. It amazed me the amount of people in the paddock area talking about the mighty quattro's, some of these people probably wouldn't have even been born when they were being used in period.
I always consider myself very fortunate that I got to see Group B as a young lad when I was able to go to Sutton Park for the Lombard RAC rallies, I can still vividly remember the unique sound each car made but also the people I was with, some of whom are no longer with us.
So I would like to hear your stories, how did you become a rally fan, what era did you get into it, the cars you were watching, where you watched, who you were with.
Let me know.

Something to round the weekend off, here are some more examples of the stunning machinery running up the hill or on static display at the Classic Nostalgia show.
Cars include some historic F1 cars, a Richard Burns Impreza, my favourite Colin McRae Impreza and a familiar Sierra RS Cosworth that I've not seen for a few years, sadly on static display only.
Enjoy!

Probably the coolest thing I saw last Saturday.
No it's not a genuine ex works service vehicle but who cares, it looks the part and certainly put a smile on my face.

Apologies for the delay, I've had a few technical issues but I can finally share some images of the cars that ran up the hill with Ralli22 at the Classic Nostalgia event last Saturday.
I've tried to include different shots to try and avoid the same cars in the same spot each year.
Please feel free to tag share and comment.

Following on from my previous post I always hope that there is something new to be seen at a show, so step forward Paul Chandler with his MG Metro 6r4.
I understand that this car has been built and restored from a bare shell and has taken some years to do but I'm sure you will agree the end result is visually stunning.
The car has been restored to full 1986 works spec with the exception of using the original V62V test engine.
I'm sure Paul would admit that he wasn't going to set any records for fastest car going up the hill but I probably can assure you that he had the biggest smile on his face being able to use the car after a lengthy restoration process.
I'll look forward to seeing and hearing this car again at future events.

It's fair to say that sometimes the same annual events attract the same cars, but this is one I will never get tired of seeing.
X4 FMC is the ex works Ford Focus WRC as used by Colin McRae and Nicky Grist on the 2001 Portugal Rally.
The car always looks immaculate and generates a lot of interest at shows plus the owner Graeme Sherry is a top bloke.
This is definitely one of my favourite cars out there at the moment.
I will be posting images of the other cars from event very shortly.

I think most places are experiencing high temperatures this week so it's quite fitting that this shot from 2020 popped up in my photo memories.

Just flicking back to the Staffordshire Motorsport show and I forgot to post these images of a MK2 Es**rt used by a young Richard Burns.
I wished I had spent more time with it and spoke to the owner to get more information on the history.
Please feel free to share any info on the car or maybe tag the owner if you know them.
