I’m opening a small number of in-home newborn model call sessions for mid to late February 🤍

These sessions are for parents who are drawn to a natural, calm, lifestyle approach to newborn photography — photographed gently in your own home, using natural light only.

This is not a posed or wrapped newborn session.
There are no props, no forced posing, and no expectation for babies to “perform”.

The focus is on capturing those early days as they really are — quietly, slowly, and honestly.

A few important details:
• This model call is for 1–2 families only
• Sessions will take place when baby is around 2–4 weeks old
• Availability is Thursdays or Fridays, with a weekend option only in special circumstances
• This session is for newborns only (no siblings on this occasion)
• Homes should have access to natural light
• A model release will be required, as this is a portfolio-building opportunity

The selected family will receive a complimentary session and a small curated gallery, with the option to purchase additional images if desired.

2025 was the year I said “maybe I could”.

One small thought, followed by a little courage, and then one thing rolled into another.

A college course gifted to me by my husband sparked something new.

I learned, experimented, gained confidence and slowly built my kit — often thanks to the kindness and generosity of others along the way.

I stepped out of my comfort zone by photographing our school show and leavers’ dance (with lots of encouragement from wonderful teacher friends).

I reached out — so unlike me — and found support, reassurance and new direction.
I met other mums in business and felt less alone in it all.

Most of all, I’m incredibly grateful to the local families who trusted me and helped me build my portfolio — that was my goal for 2025.

To be learning with the right support has helped me see what’s possible, all while continuing my teaching career and being mum and wife to my favourite people.

I’m especially thankful for the encouragement and learning along the way — from Anna Hardy Education , and from Sarah Burton Photography , whose kindness and conversation gave me another nudge forward.

Ending the year photographing a newborn session feels like a full circle moment.

Grateful for how far I’ve come — and excited to see where 2026 takes me 🤍

These little milestones don’t come with certificates — but they deserve to be remembered just the same.

I say this all the time…
“Sorry, they’re wild.”

But the truth is — this is just who they are.
Fast, loud, muddy, unstoppable… and absolutely brilliant.

If you’ve ever felt the urge to apologise for your little one’s energy — you’re not alone.
And in my sessions, you never have to.
Because children don’t need to sit still to be photographed —
they just need space to be themselves.
