Wow its' been a busy couple of days, thank you to all of you that have chosen to join our 2026 Block of the Month, it makes all the time and sums worth it 😆
Just a few left, so if you're considering joining, I wouldn't leave it too long.
For those of you that have never done one, a Block of the Month is a monthly subscription, where you pay for and receive a section of the quilt, all fabric included, PRE-CUT for you, with full clear, illustrated instructions and help along the way if you need it. Postage is even included in the cost too!!
It teaches you different techniques, and by the time you have worked your way through your parcels, you will have a whole quilt complete.

🚦Improvements at Oldswinford Cross 🚶‍♂️

On the 3rd June 2019, incidentally my 27th birthday, Lorna and I handed in the petition to improve pedestrian safety on behalf of the Oldswinford Cross Safety Group.

Now, at long last, the council have come forward with proposals to upgrade the crossing including:

• Revised lane layouts
• A cycle advanced stop line
• Wider pedestrian refuges
• Updated traffic signal timings
• New "MOVA" technology to help traffic lights respond more efficiently to traffic conditions.

I would like to thank all those who have contributed towards this moment especially those who are no longer with us.
