And this gallery was off to its forever home this week to these beautiful souls.

Sarah Sarah Knight 🖤 and Alex had the most wonderful day in August and couldn’t have been more them coded if they tried. With so many personal touches and all their faves, including their doggos, under one tipi.
We even managed sparklers and didn’t set fire to any drought dried grass… WINNER

And not an awkward face in sight I’m looking at you Alex Knight just absolute love and joy… just the way I like it.

The night was complete with a performance from their band that the groom plays drums for whaaaaaat The Real McKoys

Another hill I’ll die on… ✌🏻

Your wedding YOUR rules… zero shots given about what you’re supposed to do.

Don’t want a first dance? Don’t have one

Want to walk down the aisle together… DO IT

Fancy having the speeches before dinner (I love this one), colourful wedding dress or outfit, skipping the cake cut or cutting at the drinks reception… LOVE that for you.

Traditions are brilliant… if they actually mean something to YOU

But getting married isn’t about ticking boxes or keeping everyone else happy

It’s about celebrating your love, your love, your way, surrounded by your favourite people, doing what very makes you happy.

And trust me, when couples stop worrying about what their wedding should look like .., that’s when the best vibes happen.

So keep the traditions you love, and bin the ones you don’t.

Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life…

Not sure it’s quite how it works …

I work harder, longer and care more than I ever have. But I also get to build something that’s mine, photograph ridiculously joyful, vibe filled days and call this my actual job

So grateful for every couple who trusts me with their memories, every recommendation, every booking and every single one of my beauts cheering me on

Honestly pinch myself that this is what I do for a job. ♥️

I will bang this drum forever: you need to fall in love with your wedding photographer. Not just their work. Them.

Because I’m not just turning up with a camera.

I’m there when you’re nervous. When plans go sideways. When someone needs finding. When you need a bit of reassurance, a bit of direction or some calm and compassion on a day of huge huge emotions

I’m chatty, I love people, I read a room constantly and my ADHD brain seems to be exceptionally happy on a wedding day with approximately 748 things happening simultaneously.

I’m watching energy. I’m noticing who might need a little help. I’m working out when you need me right beside you and when you need me to disappear.

And these messages?

They were sent before these couples had even received their photographs. ♥️

Which means they’re not reviewing the finished product.

They’re telling me how it felt to have me there.

And that matters to me enormously.

Fall in love with someone’s photographs, absolutely.

But make sure you vibe with the human holding the camera too.
