📸 From the Archive – One Year Ago Today
One year ago today, BBC Look North presenter Peter Levy visited Elise's photography exhibition and shared this lovely post about her work. His kind words meant a great deal to us and helped introduce many people to Elise's remarkable talent and story.
Twelve months later, the exhibition is still going strong, with more than 23,000 visitors having walked through the doors to experience Elise's photography. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has visited, shared her story, purchased her work, or simply taken the time to appreciate her talent. Every visit helps keep her memory alive.
We're delighted to see Elise's photography continuing to touch people. Just a few weeks ago, one of her photographs was donated to a local charity ball and raised an incredible £700 at auction.
Perhaps most rewarding of all, many collectors are returning to add more of Elise's work to their collections. Knowing that her photographs are bringing joy to others means so much to us.
The exhibition continues to grow, and we still have thousands of unseen images waiting to be discovered.
Over the coming months, we'll be releasing more of Elise's work, ensuring her unique eye for wildlife, nature and life on the farm can continue to be enjoyed by many more people.
Thank you for helping us celebrate Elise's legacy and for continuing to support her work 🩷💜
"What a legacy she leaves." — Peter Levy, June 2025
