Throwback to when I put a test roll through my Photina twin reflex 120mm camera from the 1950's. I think im gonna have another go with this thing soon, completely mechanical so you have to do all the calculations yourself which adds a fun dynamic that you don't need to think about with modern cameras. Watching someone do wet plate photography got me thinking about this again. If anyone would like some portraits done with this give me a message.

The dash for a good golden hour spot.

I've been thinking about how lucky I was with the timing of this wedding, just before this I was really ill but I got well enough just in time and then I got so ill again afterwards I was in hospital for four days. Very grateful for that window of wellness. On the mend now though and ive got just under two weeks to rest and recover for the next one with a determination to look after myself better from now on.

Baby showers have been an interesting addition for me especially as a man as I'd never been to one until I started working them. Lots of details, lots of candids and lots of family formals so not too dissimilar to weddings but with the added bonus of getting to work some maternity photos in too. Some more business minded photographers might be aghast at the fact that I dont charge extra for those of make them do a separate booking for it but I love to serve my clients the best I can in the time they've got me for so if ive got the opportunity I will absolutely give that little bit extra to mark a special moment in time you can never get back.

Allow me a moment to congratulate myself.
Digital photos will corrupt and get lost over time, even prints will tear and fade but this will be forever and will not only live in my home forever but also in many other people's homes too. I'm a big believer in owning physical media so it's just perfect for me to have my work immortalised like this in both the cd and vinyl release of new ep Invicta. Finally a big thank you to the boys for this, it means a lot to be a part of this. If you want to own this they're selling both editions in their Bandcamp which you can find in their bio.
