I'm so happy to be a part of the fronteer Open 2025 exhibition at

My work is titled "I don't want realism. I want magic!"


For this piece, I wanted to portray a part of Yorkshire history, the case of ‘The Cottingley Fairies’. During and after the first world war, two young girls convinced the nation and even Sir Authur Conan Doye of the existence of fairies with their imaginative photography skills.

I wanted to capture the creative and mischievous spirit of girlhood while also reflecting on how in times of tragedy, we turn to art, storytelling, and creativity to comfort us.

The name of the piece is a quote from ‘A streetcar named Desire’ as when the world is in turmoil, sometimes we need a bit of magic!
