The Show Must Go On! RIP Lionel Blair, whose photo I took 20 years ago outside the stage door of The Theatre Royal in Brighton. At the time, I was working as a freelance press photographer for The Argus newspaper. I had no idea that he was over 70 when I snapped him for the paper in 2001, he just looked so young and full of life. He had wonderful energy and flamboyance, and back in the day, I often referred to him when I was wearing my 'Lionel Blairs' (flairs). He is pictured here with Wayne Sleep The Argus

Over the last year, my teaching has rather taken over from my freelance work as a photographer. However, I did get the chance to take some 'in character' portraits of the performing arts students at the University Centre where I lecture in photography. This collaborative event took place a while back but only recently has the project been featured on the Constella OperaBallet website. I've written a short article about this joint initiative with students and professional artists, featuring some of my favourite photos from the performance. Let me know what you think!
